With Campus Education Australia’s high school student cultural exchange program to Switzerland, you can do just that. Not only will you get a chance to immerse yourself in the language of one of Switzerland’s German or French-speaking cantons, but you will get to experience life as a Swiss teenager in school, too.
Study hard with your new peers during the week and explore the majesty of the Swiss landscape on the weekends. Come home each night to a warm and welcoming host family excited to have you, and enjoy the rich cuisine of the Swiss — not to mention their exquisite chocolate. Play your favourite sport, learn more about the languages spoken, and discover the history lurking all across beautiful Switzerland. If you are between the ages of 14 and 18, you can apply to take this incredible once-in-a-lifetime exchange journey. In Switzerland, both German and French are spoken. While most of CEA’s placements will be in the German-speaking cantons, we can also arrange to place you in an area that speaks more French if that is your area of study. After all, one of the best things about spending six weeks overseas in Switzerland is the ability to immerse yourself fully in the language. When everyone around you is speaking the language that you’ve been practising in class, you will find your proficiency takes a big step up. From experiencing a snowy Christmas, to making new friends at a Swiss high school as you continue your education, to exploring the Swiss countryside, you’ll be set for an adventure!
Parents, our organisation works hard to suit our program to your child’s needs. As we are a small boutique organisation, we can offer personal service for your teenager. They will be well taken care of in our hands! Not only are we strict with our host family screening process, but your child can pick which family they want to live with — not usually a feature you find in a high school student exchange to Switzerland. Please also note we are not a rotary exchange — you do not need to accept a Swiss student to send your child overseas.
After arrival in Switzerland, we offer 24/7 local support for any issues or needs that arise. We take care of your child as if they were our own!
